Privacy Policy for Dragon Dice

Your privacy is incredibly important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Dragon Dice handles information when you use our iOS mobile application.
The short answer is: We don’t collect, store, or share your personal data. We do collect a small amount of anonymous usage data to help us understand how the app is used and to improve it (see Section 3).
Dragon Dice is built with a “privacy by design” philosophy.
- No Personal Data: We do not collect any personally identifiable information (such as your name, email address, phone number, or physical location).
- No Account Creation: You do not need to create an account or log in to use any features of the app.
- No Tracking: We do not use any advertising networks or tracking software that monitor your behavior across the web or other apps, and we never link app usage data to your identity.
- Anonymous Usage Data: We use a privacy-focused analytics service, TelemetryDeck, to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data. This is described in detail in Section 3.
2. On-Device Storage
Any data generated within the app—such as your custom character settings, dice preferences, or roll history—is stored locally and exclusively on your own iOS device.
- This data never leaves your device.
- We do not have access to this data, and it is not transmitted to any external servers. (The anonymous usage signals described in Section 3 do not include your characters, settings, or roll history.)
- If you delete the app, this locally stored data will be permanently removed from your device.
3. Anonymous Usage Analytics (TelemetryDeck)
Dragon Dice uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-first analytics service, to help us understand how the app is used—for example, which features are popular and which app and iOS versions people are running—so we can fix problems and make the app better.
- What is sent: Anonymous usage signals, such as when the app is launched or a feature is used, along with basic technical information like app version, iOS version, device model, and language/region settings.
- What is not sent: We do not send your name, email address, location, contacts, your in-app content (such as characters, settings, or roll history), or any other personally identifiable information.
- Anonymized identifiers: To count unique users without identifying them, TelemetryDeck uses a randomly generated identifier that is hashed (and salted) before it leaves your device and hashed again on TelemetryDeck’s servers. Neither we nor TelemetryDeck can use it to identify you or to track you across other apps or websites.
- No IP address storage: TelemetryDeck does not store your IP address.
- No advertising or selling: This data is never used for advertising, never sold, and never combined with data from other sources.
- Aggregated reporting: We only view usage data in aggregate (for example, totals and trends), not on a per-person basis.

4. Other Third-Party Services
Besides a link to our X.com page and the TelemetryDeck analytics described above, Dragon Dice does not include links to external websites, third-party frameworks, or SDKs that collect data, outside of standard Apple App Store services (such as anonymous crash reports provided directly by Apple if you have opted-in to share them with developers).
5. Children’s Privacy
Because our application does not collect any personal information from any users—only the anonymous usage data described above—we do not knowingly or unknowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect future app updates or changes in legal requirements. Any updates will be posted directly to this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
